Jerry's in France for the next 3 weeks due to the France Lucha Libre Signing tour he's doing with the other Lucha Libre/Muttpop artists including Gobi, Bill, and Fabien. For the first bit of the tour, Jerry, Fabien, and Gobi went to Lille's BD Fugue Cafe. It's looks like the Publisher (Les Humanoides Associes) has our artists on some swanky tour bus. Nice! Jerry was obviously too cool to pose for any photos...

If you've frequented this blog, you know how much I LOVE a nicely done 2D sprite videogame. The guys at Vanillaware have proven that they are visually one of the best. Building from the style they successfully created in Odin Sphere, Oboro Muramasa (for the Nintendo Wii) takes us into a fantastical world of ninjas and demons.
Not much has been said about the gameplay but, if these screenshots are to be any indication, this is going to be one helluva a beautiful game. It's expected to come out in mid-late 2009.

The latest Spirit Posters and Trailer's have been revealled... and things are starting to shape up really nicely. The whole marketing campaign I've been following has been all kinds of crazy. At first it looked like Sin City 2. Then it was some live action Tom & Jerry cartoon. Now it's looking like a Sin City James Bond hybrid with some wacky slapstick. That I can go for.
The use of color is pretty nice. It looks to build off of what Sky Captain did... hopefully it will succeed in ways that Sky Captain failed.
As a longtime fan, I'm still rooting for Frank Miller!

My current favorite song: "Swagger Like Us" by T.I. featuring Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Lil' Wayne. Production is by Kanye West using a brilliant sample from M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes". Everybody is bringing they're A-game. Ironically, although T.I. is solid, his style is distinctly different from Jay, Ye, and Wayne's sing-song delivery. T.I.'s more 2pac or Nas with a tighter rhythmic delivery and solid introspective lyrics. The rest just bring it with tons of melodic attitude and word play. Hearing this makes me feel like the trio of Jay-Z, Kanye, and Lil' Wayne would be the penultimate hip-hip group. They complement each other perfectly.
Ignore the fake video... it's all about the music.
