Street Fighter IV: Lucha Libre Style
I now found the character that I'll be playing when Street Fighter IV arrives in the US: El Fuerte!
I'm pretty disappointed with the design (CAPCOM: HIRE GOBI TO REDESIGN EL FUERTE!)... but it's still cool that they are incorporating the culture and fighting style we love to this classic fighting series.

Joe:
Gobi does not have a site at this time. For the time being, your best bet is to check back, right here, on the Muttpop Blog!
ZEES:
Sash? Yeah, that's pretty silly.
You're right, Luchadores have not being given justice in fighting games. The majority of Luchadores are quick and nimble... the videogame companies have it all wrong!

El Fuerte??? HAHA, Nice sash.
I hope he's not a slow character like King was in Tekken. I'll try to find some game play or screenshots of him in action. Because of the strain of mediocre Luchdores in games, I'm not that sold.
I used to make my own Santo in WCW vs. NWO on N64. I had a couple other Luchadores that I created like, The Claw; but the shitty thing was they only had like 3 masks, so they were all variations.

Gobi should redesign El Fuerte, speaking of which, does Gobi have a site that showcases his work?

I agree. Blue Demon is perfect on many levels. You made him in MK: Armageddon? That's brilliant!
Any pics you can share with us?

The names that lucha characters have in fighting games (El Blaze, El Fuerte, etc.) are always hilarious. I think it would be really awesome if one day someone just went ahead and included Blue Demon in a game as himself. Obviously they could jack him up and give him projectiles and whatever, but the design is there! When I got MK:Armageddon I made him (complete with leisure suit) wielding a giant spiked club. It was wonderful!
