MPB Divine Cabinet of Perfection

Here's a rare glimpse at my "Divine Cabinet of Perfection". Seeing it with your own eyes is equal to things like King Tut's tomb or that fake Jesus towel. It's way better than that overrated "Body Works" exhibit of embalmed dead people.

While the majority of you have generic Ikea display cases made by Chinese robots, my display case was made 100s of years ago by skilled carpenters in the dry lands of India! Each panel of wood has the scars of hardship and Nature's scorn. It's the PERFECT cacoon for our figures (the GUTS of Muttpop).

While I wait to fill the remaining 2 shelves with more Muttpop perfection, I'm keeping those shelves busy with only the finest of Japanese Kaiju and some sentimental Western classics.

Jerry nearly sobbed of jealousy when he saw my cabinet. Photos can do it no justice... but alas there is no other way to capture it's beauty.

Hot damn! That pic is like the toy photo equivalent of the Victoria Secret catalog. All that teasing is driving me CRAZY! I envy the owner of that padlock 'cause behind it is one helluva collection!

That padlock looks familiar, does it have the jolly roger on it?

suffy:
PoonDockTaint is totally on point with those. They are the 2 versions of Fire (who is supposedly a Gigantor/Tetsujin villain) from the Nostalgic line. I had the fortune to pick them up from Super7 last year. Unfortunately I haven't found any other figures from the Nostalgic line (I hear Kozik has all of them. The rat bastard!). :-(

Detolf?! Gah! (actually they're might nifty for the price... damn robots are driving us living and breathing folks out of employment!)

I have plenty more, but can't put them all on the shelves. I'll showcase some of my other stuff at a later time...

PoonDockTaint:
Damn! I'm mighty impressed with that noggin'!

Tom Fathom:
I try, I try. :-)

My girlfriend gave it to me for my birthday about 2 years ago. Best present ever! It helped that she worked at an Indian furniture store (Dovetail in Century City). Antiques like this one are hard to come by.

Panda Man:
Thanks! Those came out around a year ago, so they're easy to find. Best figure of that animated series line if you ask me.

Secret Original:
That green sorta-Gigantor is a figure from Designer Toy newcomer Atomic Mushroom Toys. It's called Combat-R Zero. Amazing figure. I'm abhorred this figure did not get more coverage. It's one of my current favorites.

item:
Actually Poondock Taint was right on this one. I originally thought it was a weird reinterpretation of Black Ox... but I was wrong. I actually have a great Black Ox action figure with light up eyes that Medicom did several years ago. It's my favorite take on that amazing character.

paul solorzano:
Molly should drop in late July/early August. The manufacturing is done. We're just arranging the shipment from China.

Moltes:
Ah, nice try my friend. :-)

You may think I'm a greedy bastard... but I cannot depart with my "extra" Imperial and Sweet & Sours. The reason I have 2 is one is the prototype and the second is the production version. You can tell the difference because the prototype is completely painted. The production version has colored plastic that is then painted over. Those Molly's you see are also painted prototypes.

Jerry's scared of Red and Yellow toys, so he babysits the rest of the Lucha Libre prototypes. He also refused to eat Red and Yellow M&Ms. Some sort of sex act gone wrong. Don't ask (I wasn't there. Yuk!).

I can see that you've got 2 Panda sweet and sour and also 2 imperial. That's very good because I don't have one of them and I'm shure we can make a deal !!!. You're price is mine !!.
But the most important is: whitch spray do you use to keep your shelves clean ???.

I hope my english is not too bad.......

Nice...real nice Bob.

Hey Suffy, the Black and Pink figs are called OX and part of a Japanese series called 'Nostalgic Heroes'. I've been hunting for those the past year or so. Wicked find for MTB.

Wow!

I love this! You rock Bob.

You make me want to frequent more flea markets and used furniture stores in hopes of finding a rare gem such as this. I wold kill for a vintage case like this one. Such a unique case and an equally eclectic collection.

Third shelf picture...The Black and Pink figures at the back, may I ask as to what it is?
I myself feel that your figures look a lot better as a large group on a shelf. I recently switched mine from a, and I ashamed to say this, generic Ikea detolf to a large shelf.
Nice to see a good variety of other stuff though Bob.
