"Passin' Me By" by Pharcyde
Here's the Hip-hop Classic that forever made me a fan of Hip-hop music. The combination of humor, sincerity, variety, and cleverness that Pharcyde provides on their first album, Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde, remains unmatched since the album's debut in 1992.

Fatlip's verse is probably my favorite rhyme of all time. Rarely does anyone kick lines about unrequited love, and that verse is the benchmark, in my opinion. I relate to it all too well. :)

allan l.:Fatlip's verse is definitely classic. I love how everyone's delivery is so different, their respective interpretations of the theme are original...but somehow it all complements and fits each other's verse and the beat.Have you seen the Spike Jonze interviews with Fatlip? I'm going to put those up on the blog pretty soon...a fascinating look at Fatlip post Pharcyde.-MPB

allen l.:Definitely! I'm planning a post with an MP3 of "Oh Shit!" along with that wonderful video clip. It's amazing how good of a storyteller Fatlip is. He's captivating in that interview...and he isn't even trying.mista hippo:Hey, I bought your copy fair and square!
