Watchmen Movie Production Stills
My expectations aren't very high for the Watchmen live action film. I wasn't the hugest fan of 300 (but then again, I didn't really love the Graphic Novel either)...and feel that if there's one Comic that's nearly impossible to translate to celluloid it's Watchmen. But I love to be proven wrong. And these set pics look very nice!

yup Watchmen are a masterpiece of comic book for A LOT of reasons. But I won't expect anything better as a movie. At least, I hope it could be something like V fo Vendetta: nice movie even if far from the book. But who knows? :)

watchmen is a strange comic book.there's almost no action. look through it again and there's next to no fighting or stuff blowing up.Its a series of conversations mainly about the past.the odd "kerpow" moment comes as flashback for one or two panels.none of which stops it from being one of the best comic books ever made.getting it all in to a film is going to be a problem without losing something.it should have been a TV series.12 one hour episodes.

pfelelep:I still haven't seen V for Vendetta. I have to check it out sometime. Yup, Watchmen as a comic is perfect as is. I'm just curious to see what elements will be distilled into the movie...the comic isn't really about epic superhero battles...but I wonder if the movie will find a way to make that the focus (I sure hope not).spleenal:I made my own action comment before reading yours. Funny. Obviously I totally agree with you. There's something about the static comic frame that makes it work so well in it's original format. It left some much for you to fill in between the panels but what is provided to you feels like it's coming from a very complex reality. The TV series concept has been flirted with...it definitely makes the most sense as an HBO type series. Well I guess we'll just see how the movie turns out next year!-MPB
