Big Trouble In Little China
In 1986, long before anybody was aware of the craziness of Chinese films, John Carpenter directed BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA which was his homage to the Chinese cinema. This is one of my favorite cult movies and one of Gobi's main inspiration. While I'm writing TEQUILA, he calls me saying that he wants to have Jack Burton (the main character) to be friend with Tequila. I explained him that it could be complicated, there's probably an authorization needed but he didn't care, he told me to call John Carpenter and ask him... Yeah right! Here's the trailer.

Carpenter is known to have a sense of humor... you could always try to get in touch with him. Who knows, he might go for it. Sorry to make this my introduction but you folks are putting out some of the nicest designer vinyl around at a time when I've become pretty cynical about the scene. Also the comic book looks lovely as well, though I am having a bit of a faze with French/Begian style these days anyway. We are all big genre film fans here (oooh, you posted about Death Race 2000!), I my self am now off to watch that re-mastered disc of Danger Diabolik...Nice to meet you.www.angeldevilland.comwww.shockcinemamagazine.com

BTLC is fantastic, no questions asked. As is the Carpenter/Russell commentary track.Seems like Carpenter could be into it, especially since he's into comics with that "Snake Plissken Chronicles" comic that came out a while ago from...Crossgen?Anyways, BTLC + Tequila = better than a six-demon bag!
