Lucha Libre Comic First English Issue This September
It's official. Solicitations for Image Comics released in September have just been released...and there's Lucha Libre #1! Even though I already have the French edition in my hands, it's super exciting to see Lucha Libre published in my native tongue.Image Comics started in my early teenage years (right when I started collecting comics). Back then, it was very refreshing to see "superstar" comic artists like McFarlane and Jim Lee risking their careers to create their own characters and universes. Their impact on the U.S. comic industry is felt on various levels these days. They improved the level of printing quality and coloring in comics, forced Marvel and DC to give better pay rates to artists, and paved the way for Frank Miller's Sin City and Mike Mignola's Hellboy. We are very grateful to have Image Comics publish the Lucha Libre comics. You can see a 4-page preview of Lucha Libre and other Image Comic solicitations HERE.

SETH:Erik Larsen, Eric Stephenson and the whole Image crew is definitely tearing it up with the Publisher's new direction. Other series worthy of note are Warren Ellis' amazing Fell series, Allred's legendary Madman, Casey and Scioli's G0dland...the list goes on and on. ALL:I'm glad you are as excited as we are. The wait will be well worth it!-Muttpop Bob
