5000 Fingers
Almost unknown in Europe, THE 5000 FINGERS OF Dr. T is a masterpiece. Written by Dr. Seuss and directed by Roy Rowland in 1953, THE 5000 FINGERS OF Dr. T tells the story of Bart and his nemesis, his piano teacher, Dr. Terwilliker (Dr. T). This madman has a plan to force 5oo kids (5000 fingers) to play non stop on a giant piano... Visually stunning, it's way more than a kid movie. It's full of unbelievable characters and some moments are scarier than a lot of horror movies.

YES! I just bought that a couple of months ago. Complete classic. A little slow in places but genius for the most part. That musical number is awesome.

You just killed me. I watched it when kid (born in 1965, Bilbao, Spain); though i was so small i can't recall a lot of it, but the sequences with the 5000 kids playing the pianos, and the inflated trousers falling sequence just got fixed in my brain forever.I dont even recall the colors! just black and white memory.Thank you for the post.

I'm glad I'm not the only one loving this one.
