Official MadWorld Trailer

The official Trailer and the UK edition of the website for MadWorld (the upcoming Wii game from the creators behind Capcom classics God Hand, Okami and Viewtiful Joe) are now up on the web. I continue to like the over the top Mad Max/Running Man style. But I'm a little worried if it's going to be visually readable in it's Sin City inspired Black, White, & Red style.

As a fighting game, it's crucial that characters can be easily distinguishable from the background. You also need to recognize your movements instantly. It'll be interesting to see if they can pull it off.

You know what would be my absolute DREAM? Hard Gay as a bonus playable character!

Pick Up Artist VS. One Piece

So VH1's "Pick Up Artist 2" is done. The deserved winner was announced. And I can't wait for next season.

There's something so pure about the concept of teaching a bunch of dorks to become masters at "Picking up" women. It's human sexuality at it's most basic level.

But nobody has figured out where Pick Up "Artists" Mystery and Matador get their wacky fashion tips from: the "One Piece" manga. Think I'm crazy? Well, check out the included illustrations by "One Piece" creator Eichiro Oda and decide for yourself. Oda must be proud!

Here's a great clip from Season 2:

Tron 2?

Dude... Tron 2? Or as they've absurdly dubbed it "Tr2n" (thanks Se7en!).

Footage for this was shown at this year's Comicon with the intent to raise enough of a buzz to get the film into production. Footage was shown. The fans drooled. And now we have the film intended for release in 2010 or 2011.

Since it's fan captured footage. The quality is piss poor. But from what can be gathered, it's looking like the eventual film will be a beautiful update to the Tron aesthetic.

With a bit more research I discovered that Pixar's John Lasseter is one of the Producers behind the project. The computer animation in the original Tron was one of the inspirations behind Pixar.

The attached Director is Joseph Kosinski. You don't know the name, but you know the work. Kosinski is a commercial director that's best known for his beautiful TV advertisements for Gears of War 1,2 and Halo 3. He's proven that his sense of style is very strong... but it'll be interesting to see if he can handle narrative.

As with most children from the 80s, that Tron bike scene jizzed all over my developing brain. I really like how they updated that sequence in this Tr2n teaser footage.

Well, we've got 2-3 years to see how it all turns out!

The Emperor Has Arrived

Now that we got a hold of our personal copies of the Emperor, we've created a more official photo for El Panda Emperor of the Golden Throne by Kozik. These figures are made of glow in the dark vinyl and have been handpainted by Senor Kozik. The remaining Emperors we have on hand will be released in early 2009. 66 Total.
