Hollywoodoo
In Ghana and Nigeria during the 80s and the 90s there was a production of movie posters handpainted on flour sacks. These naive paintings were imaginative and powerful, with images of monsters half beast half human, zombies, cursed animals, steroid warriors armed with giant guns, rivers of blood, witchcraft and hyperviolence. Here is a small web gallery, the text is in French but if you want to read about it in English, click here.

Ronchon & Grognon
Here's the link for the brand new blog of my friend Stephane Oiry. Unfortunately for my American friends, it's only in French. But you can still admire the art. The scripts are written by Suzanne Queroy.

"Lollywood" (Lahore + Hollywood) means movie industry in Pakistan. The term "Desi Horror" refers to south asian horror movies (India and Pakistan).
