Mermaids

"Mermaids exist in the twilight place between land and sea, in the psychological intertidal zone between life-giver and life-taker..." This is the kind of website I love, it's an unbelievable collection of mermaids! They're out there, somewhere and the Tikitis will find them.

Katamari Damacy

Designed by Keita Takahashi and published by Namco on the Playstation2 in 2004, Katamari Damacy is gaming joy at it's funkiest. Although two sequels have been released since it's debut (We "Heart" Katamari on the PS2, Me & My Katamari on the PSP) neither game was able to succesfully capture the sincere spirit of the original game. Using the two joysticks on the PS2 controller, you help the Prince of the Cosmos manuever a sticky ball , called a Katamari, to gather up objects as material for the stars and planets of the cosmos. Great joy comes from building this tiny ball of junk into a massive globe of carnage and destruction. I adore Katamari Damacy, but it was Gobi's deep devotion to Katamari Damacy that prompted me to post our much deserved respect to this recent videogaming classic.

Andi Watson

British Cartoonist Andi Watson has been very busy getting ready to publish a bunch of new comics. Andi uses a rough texture in his minimalist linework that feels very alive. I love the way his lettering meshes perfectly with his artwork. A great place to get a quick sampling of his style is his Original Graphic Novel called "Dumped". At 48 pages, it's a quick read, but it's also one of my favorite Watson comics. Here's the latest interview that reminded me of Watson's work.
