Spaghetti, Meatballs And Apocalypse
Basil Rules! Basil WOLVERTON (1909-1978) drew horror, sci fi, humor stories, and also very bizarre caricatures. This site offers a view on his unbelievable career. He learned cartooning by himself, so his style wasn’t formated by artschools. He was the father of the "Spaghetti and Meatballs" design. During the 50s, as a member of the WorldwideChurch of God, he illustrated the Book of Revelation with sixteen frightening illustrations depicting the end of our world. All these illlustrations can be seen here, colored by his son Monte Wolverton.

Old School Sci Fi
Do you remember René Brantonne? During the 50s and the 60s, it was a great French sci fi illustrator. His style was unique, and he painted nearly 500 covers for the "Anticipation" collection, published by "Fleuve Noir" in Paris. Here you will have a look at his flamboyant artwork. During the 70s, his art declined, and he ended making kung fu and porn movies posters. When he died in 1979, he was almost forgotten. If you want more details, this is the whole story of his life.

Midi Minuit Fantastique #2
I was looking at the site Jimmy Pantera was talking about in his post and I found this fantastic cover. I'm very tempted to invite these two guys for a cameo appearance in one of the LUCHA LIBRE series.

Profesor Furia
Here's a new page of PROFESOR FURIA. Art by Witko, script by Ines Vargas. Furia is more and more mean and disgusting. He drinks, he steals, he beats up his students, etc... I love him. Comic books are too clean, we need more "heroes" like Furia.
