Treasury Comics
A "treasury comics" is some kind of oversized comics. There's a site where they talk about these things. It was not really interesting until I found these pretty exciting covers. It was the glorious time when Marvel and DC weren't afraid of anything! I actually own the 2001 adaptation... It's made by the always crazy Jack Kirby and it's one of the most excessive and psychedelic comics I've ever seen. It's the exact opposite of the movie. I like both. What's wrong with me?

Man Or Astro-Man?
It's Friday, let's play some music. This is MAN OR ASTRO-MAN? They play some kind of surf music mixed with DEVO and THE RAMONES. If, some day, you have the opportunity to see them, go for it. Live, they're amazing, as funny as DEVO, as violent as MOTORHEAD and as weird as an old episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE. Here's their official website. Play loud.

Gitaroo Man
Gitaroo Man is a brilliant rhythm game that came out on the Playstation 2 in 2002. A PSP port called "Gitaroo Man Lives!" will be released in the US in October. The character design and artwork are done by 326. A bit of his funky line work is lost in the translation to 3D. But the cleverness of his creative spirit shines brightly! The guitar wielding hero looks like a Power Ranger on LSD. as he fights piano-key covered flying saucers, bee-suit wearing Jazz musicians, and a space travelling hammer head shark that can transform into a robot!INIS, the game studio, created a very challenging yet intuitive game playing system. You charge up your hero by motioning the joystick and pressing a button in rhythm with the music (as visually shown on screen). When the enemy musically attacks you, you can defend yourself by pressing one of the four buttons in rhythm with his attack. With some of the best designs and music to ever grace a video game, I highly recommend anyone who is even casually interested in gaming to sought out this game. Just be aware that this game quickly becomes challenging. But for those with the skills and/or patience, the game's artistic brilliance makes every second worth playing!
