In Your face, James Bond
I know you guys are always wondering how to dress. This is the answer: an amazing suit, some pair of white shoes, a puffy orange shirt and a good haircut. Let's not forget two machine guns (you can't do anything without.) This is Jean-Paul Belmondo in LE MAGNIFIQUE. It was made in 1973, when France knew what pop culture was about. Not a masterpiece but it's pretty fun to watch.

Horror Wood
This is a really nice monthly webzine for classic and cult horror movies. Tons of info about forgotten masterpieces like Mario Bava's HERCULES IN THE HAUNTED WORLD.

The Weirdest & The Wildest!
HERCULES AND THE CAPTIVE WOMAN (1961) is another Sword & Sandal masterpiece. You need a piece of evidence ? It was edited in France on DVD by Jean-Pierre Dionnet, who runned a small label called CINÉMA DE QUARTIER. Jean-Pierre Dionnet is one of the best pop culture specialist and an emperor of good taste. One more time don’t listen to the stupid people who will tell you that it is a bad bad movie! The Queen of Atlantis is gorgeous and the pictures are fabulous. And the whole story is a fable about the atomic menace…

In Cosmicolor And Lunarscope!
HERCULES AGAINST THE MOON MEN (1964) is a masterpiece. Don’t believe the people who tell you that it is a very bad movie… It’s not true! This Sword and Sandal movie has sci-fi elements, and it is quite unusual. It also mixes different mythologies, from Ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt. It is an Italian/French coproduction and it was made during the Golden Sixties, in a time where European cinema was strong… Buy it! For a review, please see wikipedia.

Santo vs. The Martians
Here, you can find an interesting review of SANTO VS. THE MARTIANS. I've never seen that one but it looks way better than those I've seen. Maybe because of the black and white? Or maybe because of the Martians ladies?

Psychotronic
If you're wondering what's the best magazine about movies, I have the answer. It's PSYCHOTRONIC from the mind of the unbelievable Michael J. Weldon. I don't think there are more than two issues per year but it's worth the wait. Weldon's culture seems to be endless. If you like crazy movies, this magazine is for you. More info on their -ugly- website. You'll find some interesting articles like the one about Hillbilly Hollywood or the one about George W. Bush and Hollywood.
