The Incredible Hulk Movie Trailer
Ang Lee can stick to doing "Brokeback Mountain". This is the Hulk that I've been waiting for!
As much as Gobi has tried to convince me that the original Hulk film was a good film, I hate the pseudo-intellectual art film approach Ang Lee took. All I want in a Hulk film is Hulk destroying a bunch of stuff and fighting monsters.
It looks like the director of the "Incredible Hulk" understands this. I also love the Dale Keown (creator of Image Comic's Pitt) take on Hulk's look.

Street Fighter IV: Lucha Libre Style
I now found the character that I'll be playing when Street Fighter IV arrives in the US: El Fuerte!
I'm pretty disappointed with the design (CAPCOM: HIRE GOBI TO REDESIGN EL FUERTE!)... but it's still cool that they are incorporating the culture and fighting style we love to this classic fighting series.

Speed Race International Trailers
The SPEED RACER live action film now has me officially excited. I can't pin-point what did it for me... but these 2 new international trailers convinced me that the hyper-color visuals can work without being cheesy. It's young and vibrant yet dynamic. I'm sold.

Scud: The Disposable Assassin
Scud: The Disposable Assassin is back. And I couldn't be happier!
Scud's premise is brilliant. Scud's a robot assassin you can buy from a vending machine who self destructs upon killing his intended target. Upon realizing that he'll die as soon as his mission's complete, Scud critically wounds Jeff, his intended victim (instead of killing her), and puts her in a Hospital's Intensive Care Unit. To pay the costly hospital bills, Scud becomes a bounty hunter. Hilarity and violence ensues.
It's been over 10 years since we've seen a new issue of the Scud comic by Rob Schrab. Rob's been very busy in those 10 years. Scud became a Sega Saturn videogame. Rob got a taste of Hollywood when he was asked by Ben Stiller to write a live-action pilot t.v. episode for the then "unknown" Jack Black and Owen Wilson. The results? "Heat Vision and Jack". The pilot episode was never shown on TV, but it's cult following became huge via bootleg videotapes and the internet (YOU CAN SEE IT HERE). He then went on to co-write the animated feature film "Monster House" and finally ended up as a writer/director on Comedy Central's "The Sarah Silverman Program".
Quite a resume, eh?
Now he's back doing the comic that started it all... and it's everything you'd expect. If you're a fan of Scud, or just love comics with humor and great ideas, I highly recommend you pick it up (starting with #21).

Return of the Space Invaders
There's SOMETHING about those Space Invaders creature designs that holds up really well over the test of time. Even though the classic Space Invader gameplay became dated as soon as every videogame developer stole it's game dynamics, no Space Invader clone has creature designs quite as iconic as those in the Taito gaming classic.
As of late there has been a huge resurgence in interest in these characters. Much of it can be attributed to the street artist of the same name. In the last 5 years it's become easy to find Space Invader inspired products like keychains, wall decals, and shoes.
Taito appears to have gotten a little wiser and are now reinventing the Space Invader characters for the modern gamer.
In the made for Wii "Space Invaders Get Even" , you control an army of Space Invaders invasion of planet Earth. It's a weird mix of retro pixel art and more traditional polygon graphics. It looks like it might be fun.
What I am more excited about is "Space Invaders Extreme". I hate the "Extreme" name, but love the Lumines/Rez/Q Games look and music. It appears to have a more rhythmic approach to gameplay and has to be one of the trippiest looking games on the DS. It's also compatible with the knob accessory that came with Taito's Arkanoid DS game. The games already out in Japan, but no announcements have been made on whether or not it'll be released in the US.
If I find a few dollars lying around, I'll have to import the game from Japan.
Below you'll find video of the DS game and pics of the DS and Wii games.

Ledy Ledy Muttpop Interview
I just discovered the video of the interview we did with Ledy Ledy during our time in Tijuana back in October 2007.
I talk too much. Jerry masters the art of looking tough. And Ledy Ledy made one kick ass intro graphic!
