Jack Arnold

In the beginning of his career, in the early fifties, Jack Arnold, directed four of the most memorable horror movies ever. IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE, CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, TARANTULA and THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN. He has always been a huge influence for me.

River City Ransom

RIVER CITY RANSOM was the English localized version of TECHNOS JAPAN'S Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari. Technos Japan is best known in the United States for their Beat 'Em Up Arcade Game, DOUBLE DRAGON. But, I have always had a fond place in my gaming heart for River City Ransom. River City Ransom is an interesting blend of Beat 'Em Up Arcade action and Role Playing item collecting. As in Double Dragon, you go around a city in search of goons to beat up. To switch things up a bit, though, you can buy items with coins you collect from defeated enemies to improve your fighting skills or replenish energy. It is my dream to one day make a Luchadores5/Tequila game in the same format as River City Ransom!

This Is A Modern World

I've always like the Mods, they had the best clothes, the best music and they were in the best fights. MODREVIVAL is a very cool website –even if poorly designed– about this great urban tribe.

Peur(s) Du Noir

Here are some stills from a very interesting animated project being developed in France. PEUR(S) DU NOUR (or FEAR(S) OF THE DARK in English) is a collection of animated shorts overseen by Etienne Robial. The TRAILER is enough to get any animation enthusiast excited...but when you hear that cartooning masters BLUTCH and CHARLES BURNS are responsible for two of the animated shorts, it becomes a must see project.
