At the time we were working on Tequila, Muttpop was an unknown company working on a Designer Toy figure of an unknown character. So we had a lot set out before us if we expected to make any money on this venture.

Since we were fans first, we thought it'd be really cool to show other fans the development of the figure. There were many toy fans out there but very few of them had any idea of how their favorite toys were actually made. Since this was our first time making a figure, the entire process was fascinating...and we hoped to share that experience with other toy fans.

At that time, Bob had discovered a great new Designer Toy Blog called VinylPulse. By sheer coincidence, the creators of VinylPulse lived in Los Angeles (same as us Muttpop folks). We shared our vision of doing weekly Friday updates on the making of Tequila on the VinylPulse blog. The VP guys loved it...and the rest is history.

What does this have to do with Kozik and Narco Satanico? Well, as with many folks, Kozik was following the development of Tequila and expressed on the Kid Robot Discussion Forum that he'd LOVE to do his own version of Tequila. As huge fans of Kozik (especially Jerry!)...we told him it'd be an honor to have him do his version of Tequila...and a few months later he sent us his GORGEOUS turnarounds of EL BRUJO.

Now El Brujo is the stuff of legend!
